While there may be uncertainty over the future of Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Brice Samba, that has not stopped him preparing for the start of pre-season.
Samba is entering the final year of his contract at the City Ground and is said to have turned down a new contract as well as telling the club that he wishes to leave this summer. It has caused Forest to turn to potential replacements with a move for Manchester United’s Dean Henderson on the cards.
Samba played a big part in Forest’s promotion to the Premier League last season. He was the hero in the play-off semi-final, saving three Sheffield United’s penalty kicks in the shootout at the City Ground.

The 28-year-old is a fan favourite at Forest but could now be set to move on this summer. There has however been no indication over where his future could lie.
Therefore, the goalkeeper could return to pre-season training with his Forest teammates in the next few weeks. Steve Cooper doesn’t have long to work with his team before the first game of the season against Newcastle on August 6.
It seems that the goalkeeper is doing work ahead of next season, and is enlisting the help of a former Nottingham Forest man in Guy Moussi. The former midfielder posted a picture on social media.
Alongside a video of Samba doing gym work, Moussi wrote: “I get him ready.” The 37-year-old played a total of 150 games for Forest between the years of 2008 and 2014.
He has since played at Birmingham City and Finnish club HJK Helsinki. He announced his retirement at the start of 2016.
