Brianna Ghey funeral to take place today as mourners asked to wear pink

Brianna Ghey Thomas Cashman

The funeral for schoolgirl Brianna Ghey will take place today.

Loved ones of the 16-year-old will pay their respects at a service held at St Elphin's Parish Church in Warrington. The service is set to begin at 2.45pm, with mourners being asked to wear pink.

Brianna was discovered on Saturday, February 11, with multiple stab wounds on a path in Culcheth's Linear Park. On the day she died the "larger-than-life" character had spoken to her mum and a video was posted to her TikTok account only hours before she was killed.
