Brian Daboll glared at his special teams coordinator after the Giants gave up a punt return touchdown

New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll did not look like he was having a great time during his team’s 21-16 preseason loss to the Detroit Lions on Friday night at Ford Field.

While preseason football is an ultimately meaningless process meant to help shake the offseason rust off a team and help determine lower-end roster spots, Daboll still got incredibly angry at his players at one point in the game and gave a really stern glare at a coach after the team let up a punt return for a touchdown.

On the touchdown, Lions returner Maurice Alexander III got free on his return for the score on the Giants’ special teams unit.

After the play, Daboll glared at New York special teams coordinator Thomas McGaughey for the busted punt coverage.

You can see a slowed-down version of the stare below.

The glare might’ve been sparked by there only being 10 players on the field during the punt return touchdown.

During another moment in the game, Daboll just lets loose on on the team’s offense line with a pretty notable chewing-out session.

While the Giants might not lose any sleep for losing a preseason game, it’s clear they won’t forget Daboll’s frustration anytime soon.

The New York head coach did not look like he was at all thrilled with his team’s performance.
