Brian Cowen is looking forward to walking his daughter up the aisle at her wedding later this year as he continues a miraculous recovery from a near-fatal stroke.
The former Taoiseach has said he is “doing great” in his first major media interview since suffering a terrible accident when he got a bleed on the brain four years ago. The ex-TD and leader of the country also said during a lengthy 40 minute spot on Midland 103’s Will Faulkner Show that he has “made a great recovery mentally,” but that “the physical side is slower.”
Mr Cowen has almost completely recovered his powers of speech and no longer gets frustratingly lost or stuck for words. The proud Offalyman from the town of Clara was just 59 when he was hit with the debilitating health blow and forced to step back completely from public life.
