A GLASGOW restaurant has said that Brexit is one of the reasons it has been forced to close.
In another blow to the hospitality industry, American diner Steak, Cattle & Roll is the latest city eatery to announce their closure due to struggles.
A spokesperson for the Merchant Square restaurant said that Brexit and the pandemic posed challenges for the business.
They thanked all of their staff and customers for their continued support over the years.
The team also urged people to support local businesses which are trying to survive during such "difficult times".
Dozens of people have since reacted to the news, with one person commenting: "No this is so sad. We haven’t been in for a while and were just saying it was time for a wee visit."
Another added: "Shocking, won't be the last, sad to see."
A third said: "Heartbreaking."
