Brewery is giving away hundreds of free beers across Manchester this Friday

To celebrate the launch of its alternative beer tour in Manchester, Beavertown Brewery will be handing out hundreds of free cans of beer. The walking tour with a twist will stop off at three locations across the city this Friday.

The ‘Hops on Hops off’ is a bit different to your usual walking tour, with Mancunians invited to drop by one of the stops and grab a free beer - starting at London Road at 1pm. Be warned though, if you’re looking to learn some interesting facts about the metropolis, you might need to look elsewhere.

Though you can expect a bit of comedy and some crisp cold beers along the way. For those interested in joining the tour or just grabbing a can, Beavertown ‘tour guides’ will be stationed at London Road at 1pm, Foundry Project at 1.30pm and Quarter House bar in the Northern Quarter at 1.45pm.

Tom Rainsford, Marketing Director at Beavertown said: “This week we’re crash landing in Manchester with a ‘Hops on Hops off’ tour that’s guaranteed to kickstart your weekend. Look out for our tour guides - they’ll be the ones standing under the big Beavertown billboard (it’s hard to miss), armed with hundreds of ice-cold cans.

“If any of their facts sound too out-of-this-world to be true… it’s probably because they are.”

Beavertown will be giving out a selection of its beers including Nanobot (2.8%), a light and crisp super session IPA and Lazer Crush - the brewery’s alcohol-free IPA. If it’s a bit early for a pint, they’ll also be giving out 50 vouchers for free pints of the Neck Oil IPA redeemable at Quarter House.

The Beavertown ‘Hops on Hops off’ tour will begin at 1pm at Beavertown’s billboard advert situated on London Road, Piccadilly, Greater Manchester M1 2BS. The second beer drop point will be The Foundry Project Manchester (1.30pm), and the final stop will be at The Quarter house pub at approximately 1.45pm.
