Scottish brewing giants Brewdog have announced the launch of a new beer aimed at helping to raise funds for Ukraine.
The Ellon-based brewery has stated that 100% of the profits will be donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee Appeal’s humanitarian efforts in the country.
Posting on their website, the firm wrote: "Like many breweries around the world, we’ve been inundated with requests to support those affected by the war in Ukraine.
"Charities and community projects alike have reached out asking for support, and the last thing we can do is sit idly by as it continues to unfold.
"So we’re brewing a beer, with 100% of revenue going directly to those who need it."
The new beer is a 5.2% New England IPA, which they describe as being smooth and juicy, with a "medley of tropical fruit-forward hops".
A 12-pack of the limited edition brew, which has been named United for Ukraine, will cost £16.95.
It will only be available to ship for a limited time, with the beer itself dispatched from April 4, 2022 onwards to those who have placed pre-orders online.
The news comes as BrewDog co-founder James Watt confirmed on Twitter that they will no longer be shipping to Russia. He posted: "We stand with the people of Ukraine. We have suspended shipments to Russia indefinitely."
