Brentford sent warning about Crystal Palace's danger man - and it's not Wilfried Zaha

Brentford face Crystal Palace at the Brentford Community Stadium tomorrow afternoon in an enormous encounter between the two sides.

The Bees have just won once in the league so far in 2022, whilst the Eagles are yet to win in the league since the start of the new year.

This has the makings of an open game given the struggles Thomas Frank and Patrick Vieira have suffered as of late, so both sides will be desperate for an immediate reaction.

football.london's Crystal Palace reporter Mark Wyatt gave the view on Palace ahead of the trip from south to west London tomorrow afternoon.

Palace drew with Norwich last time out - what was the general performance like?

Despite the poor start and conceding within the first minute, the performance at Carrow Road was generally positive.

Palace dominated possession and controlled the game in the second half while having the majority of the chances over the 90 minutes.

Patrick Vieira said he felt frustrated at the full-time whistle that his side hadn't won the game but that he was happy with their character to get back into the match after going behind so early on

Brentford have lost their last five league games in a row, although Palace haven't won in the league since December 28. Could we see a more end-to-end game as a result?

Palace have very rarely sat back in any game this season, so expect them to be trying to dictate play at Griffin Park whenever possible.

That resulted in an entertaining opening 45 minutes in the reverse fixture back in August, although Thomas Frank did adjust his side at half-time to take the sting out of the game and mark Conor Gallagher more closely.

I'm expecting to see Palace stick to their guns on Saturday and try to force their way through the Brentford defence, which could leave them exposed on the counter if the Bees play it right.

Who should Brentford be keeping a close eye on?

Wilfried Zaha made a goalscoring return to the side against Norwich while Conor Gallagher created problems for Brentford's midfield back in August, but it's Michael Olise who is the player in the best form right now.

His assist on Wednesday night took him to seven for the season, with four goals added to that in only 791 minutes of action across all competitions this season.

Jordan Ayew is pressuring him for his spot back in the team on the right-wing, but for now, Olise seems to have the position nailed down and is full of confidence.

What weaknesses could Brentford potentially exploit?

Joel Ward had a rough ride against Norwich where he was repeatedly targeted down his right side.

It was from there that the move for the Canaries' opener began and Ward was exploited again by pace and skill from Milot Rashica twice in quick succession after that before he eventually settled into the match.

Score prediction?

Both sides need to make up for the goalless draw at Selhurst Park by putting on an entertaining match for the fans.

My prediction is a 3-2 win for Palace.
