Brentford are expected to make a fresh bid for Nathan Collins in the coming days.
The Bees have been rebuffed twice by Wolves, with their second offer exceeding the €23m that it cost to take him last summer from Burnley to Molineux.
Another effort to lure the Ireland centre-half to west London is likely, with the Premier League side determined to land the 22-year-old.

Collins addressed his future on Tuesday night after he picked up the FAI Senior International Player of the Year award at the Mansion House.
He admitted that his club future was out of his hands.
“It's not for me to say really,” he said, when asked if a move from Wolves was possible.
“That's football. Who knows what the club may do. I'm just going back on 10 July to play football.”
