Djed Spence’s former Nottingham Forest team-mates have rushed to congratulate the 22-year-old after he made his Tottenham debut on Sunday.
Spence, who shone on loan for Forest in their Championship promotion campaign, came off the bench to replace Rodrigo Bentacur at the City Ground in the dying embers of Spurs’ 2-0 win. It marked his first appearance for his new club after his £20million summer move from Middlesbrough.
Spence had already spoken warmly of the reception he received from the home fans after his introduction, saying they “made the day even more special”.
