Brenden Aaronson has joked that he spends too much time with fellow Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams. The Whites duo are teammates both at club and international level after both made the summer switch from Red Bull Salzburg and Red Bull Leipzig respectively.
They have quickly established themselves as key parts of Jesse Marsch's side, whom they have both worked under previously in their careers. Aaronson and Adams have missed just one Premier League match between them this season, with the former starting every game, and the latter absent in the defeat to Fulham.
Both are now preparing to represent USA at the World Cup in Qatar that gets underway in just a few days' time, in what will be their first major tournament for their country. Speaking in an interview with the Athletic, Aaronson joked that he is with Adams 'way too much', before then revealing the two have grown to become 'really good friends' since being at Leeds.

He said: “I’m with that guy way too much. I’m with that guy a lot. Me and him have grown so close in friendship. I mean, I would even say we’re really, really good friends at this moment.
“We spend a ton of time together at Leeds, and coming to the national team feels a little weird, you know, because now we’re like separated a little bit, but it’s good.
"I think the relationship on the field has only grown over time — it’s been really good.”
