Brendan Rodgers is the man Leeds United “really want” as the Celtic managerial candidate could be offered the chance to decide between the two.
The Elland Road is reportedly a “two-horse race” between Rodgers and Daniel Farke – also linked with the Parkhead post – as the relegated Yorkshire giants’ new owners 49ers Enterprises look to appoint their first boss in a bid to get back to the English Premier League at the first time of asking. The Athletic wrote Leeds United are “trying to wrap up manager process this week. Rodgers they really want but not easy to persuade. Farke impressed initial discussions".
The Elland Road club’s new American owners, the investment arm of the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers, have big plans for the club after striking a £170million deal to take over the Yorkshire giants. And they are keen to land a box office boss with Rodgers’ CV making him a standout candidate.
