And it means that Thursday's encounter with Leeds in growing in significance as the struggling side and under pressure manager look for some well needed points.

Rodgers began the presser in good spirits but the mood turned when he was asked about the rumour doing the rounds on Leicester supporter sites claiming he is simply too expensive for the club to sack.
