Brendan Rodgers' sensational return to Celtic is edging closer with advanced talks underway.
Sky Sports News claim that meetings between the former Liverpool and Leicester City boss and the Parkhead hierarchy are scheduled for later today as the Hoops bid to land their top managerial target to replace Ange Postecoglou.
The 57-year-old left on a four-year deal to have a crack at the English Premier League with Tottenham after two hugely successful years in Glasgow. His final act was to lift the Scottish Cup and with that secure a domestic Treble. It gave him five trophies out of six during his time in charge as he moves on to North London.

Rodgers also tasted huge success in the dugout during his first stint in charge before departing for the Foxes back in 2019. The circumstances around that departure upset a large number of the Celtic support but he will be determined to put things right if he is handed a sensational return to Glasgow.
Sky Sports claim he will get a contract in excess of the previous deal that made him Celtic's highest paid manager in history and also state that an agreement is in place between the two parties that will see him backed in the transfer market to compete both domestically and on the European stage.
Celtic are already in the Champions League group stage after winning the Scottish Premiership title and will avoid the brutal early season qualifying route they've had to experience over the years - including during Rodgers' first stint in charge.
