Brendan Rodgers has acknowledged Chelsea's third bid for defender Wesley Fofana, as the Frenchman was left out of Leicester's Carabao Cup penalty shootout win over Stockport County.
The Blues reportedly came back with a £70m offer for the 21-year-old, but the offer was once again rejected by the club, as Thomas Tuchel continues to try and prize his man from the King Power Stadium.
Speaking after the game at Edgeley Park, Rodgers explained he knew little about the contents of the offer but acknowledged a third bid had been tabled.

"I believe so. The club told me earlier on. I don't know too much detail around it because I've been concentrating on the game.
"I believe it was rejected, yes. But nothing more."
In what was a poor performance by the Foxes, who named a strong side to play their League Two opponents, Fofana was a glaring omission from the matchday squad after being left out of their 2-1 defeat to Southampton, with Rodgers confirming the player was not in the right state of mind to play.
And Rodgers almost confirmed amid interest coming from Stamford Bridge is that Fofana is now training with the development squad, following missing a first-team session last week for no apparent reason.
His absence from the matchday squad for Leicester this evening is telling, but it also provides Chelsea with a boost for the later rounds of the Carabao Cup, should he complete his move to the Blues.
Having not played for Leicester in the competition so far, Fofana would be able to play for Chelsea as he did not make an appearance for another side, rules stated by the EFL in regards to transferred players.
