Aussie women stars make best start to Open since 1992

In-form young wildcard Taylah Preston and inspired wildcard Maddison Inglis have led the women's home hopes to their best start to an Australian Open campaign in 34 years.

Mighty victories for veteran James Duckworth and never-say-die Dane Sweeny on day three also guaranteed the bumper Australian contingent its equal-most successful opening to the Melbourne Park major this century.
