Chris Rock has declined to file a police report, cops have confirmed, after Will Smith slapped him in the face at the Oscars on Sunday night.

Speaking about the altercation between Will Smith and Chris Rock, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) says Chris has declined to file a police report.

The kick-off began when the comedian joked about Jada Pinkett Smith's buzzcut, quipping: "Jada, can't wait for GI Jane 2."
