Sergio Reguilon has revealed that he is not part of the Tottenham squad to take on Man City due to Covid.
Named on the bench for last Sunday's game against Wolves, the Spaniard was expected to return to the Spurs team with Antonio Conte changing things up against Man City.
However, the Spaniard has missed out completely at the Etihad Stadium and Ryan Sessegnon has duly retained his place at left wing-back.
Taking to Twitter to speak about his absence from the team, Reguilon said: "I can not play today due to Covid. Time to support my teammates from home. I will be back soon."
Without Reguilon for such an important game following three successive Premier League defeats, Conte has made a total of four changes for this evening's game at the Etihad Stadium.
Eric Dier returns in defence following his recent thigh issue and takes the place of Davinson Sanchez, with Emerson Royal getting the nod over Matt Doherty at right wing-back.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is also handed a start after his omission from last week's team and he takes Harry Winks' place in midfield.
Dejan Kulusevski also comes into Conte's plans as he replaces Lucas Moura and takes on a No.10 role behind Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.
With Spurs facing another busy week with Burnley and Leeds on the agenda, Conte will be hoping that Reguilon can take his place in the team as they eye up a top-four finish.
