Detectives investigating the fatal shooting of Elle Edwards at a pub on Christmas Eve have made two more arrests. The 26-year-old beautician had been enjoying a drink with friends and her sister at the Lighthouse pub in Wallasey, Wirral, when she was shot in the head.
She was not believed to be the intended target. Today (January 11), Merseyside Police says that following enquiries in mid-Wales, a 22-year-old man from Wirral has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
A 23-year-old woman, from Wirral, has also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both have been taken to police stations for questioning.
