Tanguy Ndombele has departed Tottenham and joined Italian side Napoli on a season-long loan deal. Joining in July 2019 in a then club-record transfer, the Frenchman has struggled to recapture his top form in north London during his time at Spurs.
In and out of the team last season, Antonio Conte allowed the midfielder to leave on loan at the end of the January transfer window and he subsequently returned to former club Lyon. A huge chance for him to try and get back to his best, Ndombele had an underwhelming time back in Ligue 1 and his move was not made permanent.
Returning to Hotspur Way in July for pre-season training, the 25-year-old was left out of Tottenham's summer tour plans and didn't feature in any of their four friendlies along with Giovani Lo Celso, Sergio Reguilon and Harry Winks. Having trained away from the rest of the first team, Ndombele now has the chance to get his career back on track with Napoli.

Joining Luciano Spalletti's team on a season-long loan deal, it is believed the Naples-based club do have the option to purchase the player at the end of his loan for £25m. Ndombele will be hoping to return to the pitch for the first time since May, with Napoli hosting Monza at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Sunday evening.
Ndombele becomes the seventh player to leave Tottenham on loan for the 2022/23 campaign, joining Alfie Whiteman, Troy Parrott, Dane Scarlett, Joe Rodon, Lo Celso and Destiny Udogie in heading out of the door.
