Tottenham confirm Ange Postecoglou's coaching staff as ex-Premier League player joins

Tottenham have confirmed Ange Postecoglou's coaching staff ahead of the team's return to pre-season training at the start of July. Appointed as Antonio Conte's successor at the beginning of June on a four-year contract, there was no confirmation at the time regarding those who will form part of the Australian's backroom team at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

With the start of pre-season training at Hotspur Way now just a matter of days away, Spurs have finally revealed who will be working alongside Postecoglou for the 2023/24 campaign and beyond. The 57-year-old will be joined in north London by Chris Davies and former Premier League player Mile Jedinak.

Davies has a wealth of experience in the game having previously worked on the coaching staff at Swansea City, Liverpool, Celtic and Leicester City alongside Brendan Rodgers, who has subsequently replaced Postecoglou in the Celtic hotseat. The Watford-born coach joins Tottenham as senior assistant coach.

Postecoglou will have a familiar face alongside him in the dugout in Jedinak as the former midfielder captained Australia when the new Spurs boss was previously in charge of his country. Appointed as assistant coach, Jedinak arrives at Tottenham following a spell as a youth coach and loan development coach at Aston Villa.

The incoming duo will work alongside Ryan Mason and Matt Wells who are remaining at Tottenham as assistant coaches. With Mason finishing the 2022/23 campaign as Tottenham's interim head coach with Wells acting as his assistant, football.london revealed earlier in the month that Mason had agreed to take up an offer from Postecoglou to become part of his coaching staff after they spoke at the club's Enfield training base.

Finally, Rob Burch will take on the role of first team goalkeeping coach. Coming through Tottenham's academy in the early 2000s before joining Sheffield Wednesday in 2007 after a number of loan spells away from N17, the 39-year-old had previously served as Spurs' academy goalkeeping coach until 2019 before taking on roles with the Football Association, Fulham, Bournemouth and Club Brugge.

Tottenham have confirmed that the new team of coaching staff will begin work alongside Postecoglou on Saturday, July 1.
