Tesco website crashes as 300,000 Brits join queue for Christmas delivery slots

Tesco shoppers hoping to book a Christmas delivery slot this morning were placed in a queue of more than 290,000 people waiting to get online.

When The Mirror checked shortly after 7.30am, we were number 291,352 in the queue and told the wait time was "more than one hour".

Some customers also took to Twitter to complain about being chucked off the website when it was their turn.
