Ryan Mason has confirmed that Hugo Lloris and Ryan Sessegnon will miss the rest of Tottenham's season through injury. The Frenchman has not played for the Lilywhites since coming off at half-time in the recent 6-1 defeat away at Newcastle United due to a muscle issue, with Sessegnon's last game coming in the 1-0 win over Man City at the start of February after he suffered a hamstring injury.
"Hugo's out for the season," admitted the acting head coach when speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of the Crystal Palace fixture. "We had the results back. Obviously disappointing, but we kind of feared that initially. We did some more tests and he won't play for us again this season."
With the goalkeeping department an area that Tottenham will look to strengthen in the summer with Lloris nearing the end of his career and the shot-stopper also making some high-profile errors recently, the 36-year-old may have already played his last game for the club.

Pressed on next season with questions over Lloris' future, Mason said: "I can't speak about next season but what I can say is that he has a very important role for us until the end of the season. We need him. We need him to be part of the group and I'm sure he will be."
Mason also went on to confirm that Sessegnon won't feature again this season but Emerson Royal could potentially be back before the campaign draws to a close.
"Ryan had a significant injury, he's been out for a long time so Ryan won't feature again this season," explained the 31-year-old. "Emerson I think it is a day to day check on how he is and how he's coping. Hopefully Emerson can help us between now and end of the season."
Yves Bissouma could also potentially join Emerson back on the pitch as he works his way back to fitness after requiring surgery to repair a stress fracture to his left ankle in February.
"We hope so," said Mason on if Bissouma will play again this term. "There are obviously some hurdles he has got to overcome and to hit some certain goals but we are hopeful he will appear before the end of the season."
Mason did admit that it is too early to put a date on Rodrigo Bentancur's return from the anterior cruciate ligament injury he picked up at Leicester in February, though.
"These types of injuries you have to be very careful with. We see sometimes they can reoccur," admitted the boss. "We're assessing him day by day. He's making progress but it's probably too early to set a return date."
