Rachael Blackmore was involved in a horror crash at the Cheltenham Festival, after taking a brutal fall in the Mares Hurdle on day one of the event.
Blackmore was on board Telmesomethinggirl in 4:10pm race, however a took a horror tumble after her horse collided with fellow runner Indefatigable who fell at the last.
Following Indefatigable's fall, Blackmore had angled her runner to make a late run towards the front, however was stopped in her tracks after crashing into the fallen horse.
The Irish jockey then brutally took two summersaults in the air before crashing to the Cheltenham ground.
Despite initial worries both horses, Blackmore and fellow jockey Rex Dingle, hobbled back to their feet and were thankfully able to walk away.
In the midst of the chaos, Nico de Boinville road Marie's Rock to victory, to pick up his second win of the afternoon.
The heavy fall came less than hour after Blackmore had secured a back-to-back Champion Hurdle with Honeysuckle.
The golden duo set the Cheltenham course a light for the second time in as many years, as she brought home one of the Festival's most well-backed runners.
Honeysuckle went into the race odds on favourite, however many had tipped Willie Mullins' Appreciate It.
Despite a bright start by the Mullins trained runner, this would not be the case.
Blackmore held her partner just in behind the runners before letting her go two jumps out.
The Irish star then bolted up the Cheltenham hill to secure yet another historic Festival win.
