Nottingham Forest have confirmed that forward Xande Silva has left the club to join French side Dijon on a permanent deal.
Silva has been with the club since joining from West Ham United on deadline day last summer, but he failed to make a big impact at the City Ground, making just 10 first team appearances for the club.
With just one year left on his contract, the Forest forward has moved onto pastures new, signing what is reported to be a three-year deal with the Ligue 2 side. Forest will receive an undisclosed fee, although it is not expected that the fee will be too big given the player’s contract situation and standing in the Reds squad. He was signed for the Hammers for a fee of around £200,000.

The forward becomes the latest player to complete a transfer away from the City Ground this summer after Brice Samba and Nicholas Ioannou all left the club earlier for fresh surroundings. Tobias Figueiredo, Gaetan Bong and Lewis Grabban also left on free transfers.
“The club wishes Xande all the best for the future and thank him for his service during his time on Trentside,” Forest wrote in a statement confirming the news.
Dijon finished in eighth place in Ligue 2 - the French second division - last season, and will be looking to improve on that finish in the upcoming campaign. They started their season with a 2-1 win over giants St Etienne last weekend and are back in action against Pau on Saturday evening.
