Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of winger Josh Bowler from Blackpool.
The 23-year-old becomes the Reds’ 20th new arrival of the summer transfer window, in a deal believed to be worth about £4m. But he will head straight out on loan, spending the rest of the season with fellow Evangelos Marinakis-owned side Olympiacos, in Greece.
Bowler has been a long-term target for Forest head coach Steve Cooper, with the club having pushed to sign him in January. The former Everton man ended up staying put at Bloomfield Road and finished the campaign with eight goals in 45 appearances for the Seasiders.

This term, Bowler, who made the switch from Goodison Park to Blackpool a year ago, has scored twice in seven games. He had a year left on his contract with the Championship outfit.
The wide man is the Reds’ second deadline day addition, with defender Willy Boly having also put pen to paper at the City Ground. Bowler follows striker Hwang Ui-jo in signing for Cooper’s side and then heading to Olympiacos on loan, while midfielder Brandon Aguilera was loaned to Guanacasteca after agreeing terms.
It has been a busy summer Trentside. Forest have also brought in Taiwo Awoniyi, Dean Henderson, Giulian Biancone, Moussa Niakhate, Omar Richards, Neco Williams, Wayne Hennessey, Harry Toffolo, Lewis O'Brien, Jesse Lingard, Orel Mangala, Emmanuel Dennis, Cheikhou Kouyate, Remo Freuler, and Morgan Gibbs-White, as well as Boly, Aguilera and and Ui-jo.
