Nottingham Forest have announced that club captain Lewis Grabban has confirmed that he will be leaving the club this summer after his contract at the City Ground came to an end.
The 34-year-old had been in talks over a new contract with the Reds but will be ending a four-year association with the club. Grabban's contract expired at the end of last month, along with Gaetan Bong, Tobias Figueiredo and Carl Jenkinson.
In a statement, Forest have confirmed the player's decision. "Nottingham Forest Club Captain and striker Lewis Grabban has confirmed his departure from The City Ground following the completion of his contract term," it read.

It is also added that "everyone at the club would like to thank him for his excellent contribution on and off the pitch." Grabban scored 55 goals for the club in just shy of 150 appearances and captained the club throughout last season's Premier League promotion-winning campaign.
Despite suffering ankle and hamstring injuries last season, the striker scored 13 of those goals last season as the Reds finished fourth in the Championship table. The skipper was sidelined for the play-off campaign with the latter injury, which prematurely ended his season.
Grabban's last match was a quarter of an hour cameo against Peterborough United. Fittingly, the forward's last goal was the opener against Derby County at the City Ground back in January.
