Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of midfielder Danilo from Palmeiras.
The 21-year-old becomes the Reds’ second new addition of the January transfer window, and the second from the Brazilian club. He follows Gustavo Scarpa - who linked up with the Reds last month ahead of his contract officially kicking in - in making the move and putting pen to paper on a six-and-a-half year contract at the City Ground.
Securing Danilo in a deal worth almost £18million is quite a coup for Forest. Arsenal and Chelsea have previously been credited with an interest in him, while Monaco are said to have made a late push to try to clinch his signature.
