A 13-year-old girl has gone missing tonight and police have launched an urgent appeal to find her.
The teen, named only as Wareesha by police, was last seen at 3.30pm on Wednesday (February 2) but there has been no trace of her since.
In their appeal, Metropolitan Police officers based in the large west London borough of Hillingdon have asked for people to come forward with any information regarding Wareesha's whereabouts.
The teenager, who hails from Hayes in Hillingdon, was last seen in Uxbridge at around 3.30pm on Wednesday.
She is described as being of Asian appearance, 5 feet 1 inch tall. and likely to be wearing a black coat, a grey blazer, a green shirt, black trousers, glasses and a headscarf.
If you have seen Wareesha, or if you have any information that could lead to locating her, police say "please call 999" quoting the reference number 6099 of February 2.
On Twitter, the Metropolitan Police team based in Hillingdon wrote: "13-year-old Wareesha from Hayes is missing.
"Last seen in Uxbridge at around 3.30pm.
"She is of Asian appearance and 5ft1 tall. Likely wearing a black coat, grey blazer, green shirt, black trousers, glasses and a headscarf.
"If you see her, please call 999. Ref 6099/02FEB."
