Man seriously injured after stabbing

Three people have been arrested following a reported stabbing in Oldham.

Emergency services were scrambled to Polonia Court shortly after 5pm this evening (Friday October 21) and a man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Three people have been arrested, including one man who is currently in custody, according to Greater Manchester Police (GMP).

GMP are now asking for witnesses, CCTV, dash cam and doorbell footage to help with their investigation. A force spokesman said: "At 5.10pm this evening, officers were called to reports of a stabbing at Polonia Court in Oldham.

"Emergency services attended the scene. One man has been taken to hospital with injuries that are serious but not considered life threatening.

"Three people have been arrested and taken into police custody. The investigation is on-going and officers are conducting enquiries to understand the circumstances."

Witnesses told the Manchester Evening News that several armed units responded to the incident, as well as an air ambulance. A photograph also shows an item that appears to be a knife being recovered from the scene.
