A man was found seriously injured in central London last night with the killer still on the loose.
City of London Police was called to reports of a stabbing at 11.30pm in the shadow of St Paul's cathedral.
When police arrived they found a man suffering serious injuries.
CPR was carried out at the scene before he was rushed to the Royal London Hospital where he later died.
A forensics team were seen at the scene at 5.15am this morning as parts of Gresham Street were cordoned off.
A blue car was also seen cordoned off outside the Lord Raglan at the top of the road.

A police officer was also seen standing at the edge of the cordon while forensics continued their investigation and collected evidence.
The age of the victim is unknown at this time.
Police have not made any arrested and enquiries are ongoing.
Assistant Commissioner Pete O'Doherty, from the City of London Police, said: “City of London Police were called to reports of a stabbing in Gresham Street, EC2V, at 11:30pm on May 1.
"Officers found a man suffering from serious injuries and carried out CPR at the scene before he was taken to the Royal London Hospital where he later sadly died.
"Enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time.”
Last night's stabbing comes after a man in his 30s was stabbed to death in Greenwich, South East London in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Officers described it as a “shocking and brutal act of violence ” that led to the man’s death.
After the attendance of paramedics, the man was rushed to hospital where he tragically died a short time later.
His family have been informed and the killer is believed to still be on the loose.
The scene is just yards from several large hotels and Greenwich railway station.
