Madonna's rumoured boyfriend Josh Popper shared a cryptic post about life amid the singer's hospitalisation.
It was announced yesterday that Madonna, 64, had been hospitalised just days ago due to a "serious bacterial infection" and briefly ended up in an intensive care unit.
Her rumoured boyfriend Josh, 29, took to Instagram a few days ago, which would have been following her becoming ill, with a post about his career in the boxing industry.
He shared a quote about life with his followers on the platform, with it included in the caption accompanying a series of photos that appeared to show Josh in a match.
Josh shared the following quote: "Give yourself permission to live a big life. Step into who you were meant to be. Stop playing small. You are meant for greater things".
He then took the opportunity to thank his boxing coach, adding: "Thank you to my coach [Dennys Lozada], my family, and the Bredwinners team for being by my side".
Madonna was first romantically linked to Josh just a few months ago, with the pair having been spotted whilst attending a concert in New York City together back in April.
She had been preparing for her own upcoming tour, Celebration, in recent months, though that is now understood to have been postponed following her recent hospitalisation.
It was announced by her manager Guy Oseary yesterday, who said: "On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several-day stay in the ICU."
Guy further commented in his statement that was released on social media this week: "Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected.
"At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows."
The tour had been scheduled to begin in two weeks and was due to conclude in January next year. It's not known which dates will be affected or whether the entire tour is delayed.
It was due to launch in Canada on July 15 and then head to venues in the US, the UK and other countries in the coming months before concluding in Mexico next year.
The Celebration tour is expected to celebrate her decades-long career in the music industry, which has included chart-topping singles such as Vogue and Like A Prayer.
Rehearsals were understood to have been underway for a few months, with Madonna having previously shared glimpses of rehearsals for the tour on social media.
