The car collided with the home and went into the front wall, bystanders have told the M.E.N, who say 'the whole porch has gone'. "The house has collapsed at the front," one neighbour added.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "At half past five on Friday afternoon firefighters attended a road traffic collision on Peveril Drive, Hazel Grove, Stockport. Three fire engines and the Technical Rescue Unit special appliance attended the incident where a vehicle had collided with a house and caused significant structural damage.
"Mercifully there were no injuries at this incident. Specialist firefighters experienced in very complex rescue scenarios worked alongside Electricity Northwest, Stockport Council’s building inspector, and other colleagues to shore up the damaged house, isolate gas and electricity supplies and prevent further structural collapse while the vehicle was removed."
