The culmination of spring practices for Ohio State arrives Saturday when the Scarlet will face the Gray in the LiFEsports Spring game.
The game was supposed to give a glimpse of the quarterback battle between Kyle McCord and Devin Brown. Unfortunately for Brown, he will not play in the scrimmage.
Buy Buckeyes TicketsIt has been reported the second-year player will miss the game due to an injury to a finger on his right hand. It was severe enough that he needed to have a procedure to fix it.
There is good news though. The injury seems minor and sounds as though it shouldn’t linger into the fall. However, in a tight battle — if that’s what we have — missing time and an ability to showcase yourself in a live scrimmage setting in the ‘Shoe isn’t how a starting job is normally drawn up.
Ryan Day is meeting with the media for his pre-spring game press conference.
He said Devin Brown had a procedure done today on his throwing finger and won’t be able to play on Saturday.

Brown took to Twitter to let Buckeye Nation know that he’ll be back.
Minor speed bump. More determined than ever! Go Bucks! 🌰🌰

It’s unfortunate that we will not get to see Brown toss around the football on Saturday, but this isn’t the season and there is no need to play through any injuries.
