Five people have been arrested after a man was left injured in a 'disturbance' at a house in Rochdale.
Police were called to the incident on Chesham Avenue in the Castleton area of the town just before 2.50am this morning (Friday). A man - aged in his 30s - was taken to hospital from the scene with serious injuries, police said.
Five people have been arrested. Three women, aged in their 30s and 40s, and two men, aged in their 50s and 60s, were arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault.

They all remain in custody to be quizzed by detectives. An investigation into the incident is now underway.
In a statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "We were called shortly before 2.50am today (14 October) to a report of a disturbance at an address on Chesham Avenue, Rochdale.
"A man in his 30s was taken to hospital with serious injuries and an investigation from Rochdale CID is underway. Three women – aged in their 30s and 40s – and two men – aged in their 50s and 60s – have been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault and remain in custody for questioning.
"Any information should be passed to us via our LiveChat facility or by calling 101 quoting incident 265 of 14/10/2022 Details can be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
