The Houston Texans disappointed the rumor mill by signing receiver Brandin Cooks to a two-year extension on Thursday.
The Texans have their most productive skill position player under contract through the 2024 season. Second-year quarterback Davis Mills also has a proven veteran to further his chemistry with as the Texans seek to return to competitive balance in 2022.
According to Ian Rapoport from the NFL Network, the Texans gave Cooks a $39.6 million extension with $36 million of that money guaranteed.
