The Houston Texans added a veteran presence to their receiver room by signing Robert Woods.
The former Buffalo Bills 2013 second-round pick signed a two-year contract with the Texans, which will become official when the new league year kicks off on March 15.
Field Yates from ESPN was able to obtain the contract details. Woods gets a $6.5 million signing bonus. The 2023 salary is $2 million and Woods is able to earn up to $750,000 in incentives. Woods’ per game roster bonuses are up to $250,000.
In 2024, Woods’ salary escalates to $6.25 million, and he can earn up to $1 million in incentives. Woods would also get up to $250,000 in per game roster bonuses.
Last year, Woods caught 52 passes for 527 yards and two touchdowns through 17 games, all categories down from 2021 when he played in just nine games due to a torn ACL.
