Pittsburgh Steelers beat writer Ray Fittapaldo has put out a full seven-round mock draft after the Senior Bowl so let’s take a look at the picks and see if there’s anything we would do differently. To compare, you can see our latest mock draft here.
First round - C Jackson Powers-Johnson, Oregon
We are all speaking this pick into existence for the Steelers. JPJ is far and away the top center in the draft and a perfect fit for the Steelers.
Second round - DL Darius Robinson, Missouri
I love Robinson as a prospect for the Steelers 3-4 but I hate to think they would need to spend a second-round on the position.
Third round - CB Mike Sainristil, Michigan
Love Sainristil as a prospect. He’s a smart player with tons of experience and he plays with a lot of confidence.
Fourth round - WR Javon Baker, UCF
This feels like a super safe pick for the Steelers but athletically nothing really stands out with Baker.
Fourth round - ILB Jaylan Ford, Texas
In an inside linebacker class that underwhelms, Ford is a standout and highly underrated. Love this pick.
Sixth round- P Tory Taylor , Iowa
If it means Pressley Harvin III is out, I have no qualms about using a draft pick on the top punter in the class. I doubt Taylor will last this long.
Seventh round - OT Roger Rosengarten, Washington
A decent developmental prospect who needs to bulk up and get stronger. Lots of late-round options for the Steelers.
