Here’s an in-depth break down of the Packers’ final injury report of Week 4:

Out (4)

Green Bay Packers offensive tackle David Bakhtiari (69) blocks Chicago Bears defensive end Rasheem Green (94) during the fourth quarter of their regular season opening game Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Soldier Field in Chicago, Ill. The Green Bay Packers beat the Chicago Bears 38-20.

LT David Bakhtiari (knee): The former All-Pro will miss his third straight game after starting in Week 1. Concern level about his week to week availability this season has to be growing. Expect Rasheed Walker to start again at left tackle.

LG Elgton Jenkins (knee): As expected. Jenkins will likely miss at least another game (next week at Raiders) but should return after the Week 6 bye. Royce Newman is the expected starter at left guard.

ILB De’Vondre Campbell (ankle): The veteran linebacker hurt his ankle on Sunday vs. the Saints and didn’t practice this week. Isaiah McDuffie and Eric Wilson will get snaps next to Quay Walker.

S Zayne Anderson (hamstring): It’s surprising the Packers didn’t place him on injured reserve. Maybe that move happens tomorrow. For a banged-up team, roster spots are needed entering Thursday night.

Questionable (5)

RB Aaron Jones (hamstring): He practiced in a limited capacity all week and is trending toward a return Thursday night. Jones missed the last two games but would provide a big boost to the offense if he’s available vs. the Lions.

WR Christian Watson (hamstring): He said the plan is to play, and another day of limited participation suggests everything is going to plan. The Packers desperately need his speed and ability as a deep threat in the passing game.

CB Jaire Alexander (back): He practiced Tuesday and Wednesday, so the Packers could get him back after an unexpected absence last week. But he’s still less than a week out from the original injury.

RT Zach Tom (knee): The Packers would start Yosh Nijman at right tackle if Tom, who was injured late in Sunday’s win, can’t go. Even if the Packers keep him out, this looks like a minor knee injury.

CB Carrington Valentine (biceps): His practice participation to end the week suggests his injury is a minor one. The Packers would be in rough shape at corner if Alexander and Valentine can’t go.

No playing time designation (1)

OLB Rashan Gary (knee): This has been protocol for Gary all season. Limited during practice, but available on a pitch count. No worries here, but it’ll be interesting to see how many snaps he plays on a short week.

Lions injury report

The Lions ruled out fullback Jason Cabinda, guard Halapoulivaati Vaitai and offensive tackle Matt Nelson. Questionable to play are offensive tackle Taylor Decker, safety Kerby Joseph, guard Jonah Jackson, running back David Montgomery and cornerback Emmanuel Moseley. Needless to say, both teams are going into Thursday night with injury-affected rosters. Inactives, which are released 90 minutes before kickoff, will be important.
