Chelsea finally confirm £106m Enzo Fernandez deal 11 hours after transfer window shuts

Chelsea have confirmed the arrival of Enzo Fernandez from Benfica. The Blues completed the deal for a club-record fee of £106.7million

The Portuguese club confirmed the agreement in the hours following the Premier League's 11pm deadline. The two clubs had an intensive day of negotiations to come to a deal, with Chelsea's efforts led by led by co-controlling owner Behdad Eghbali.

Fernandez is understood to have agreed on an eight-and-a-half-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
