Chelsea have confirmed that Frank Lampard will take charge of the Blues until the end of the season as the club move on to life after Graham Potter. Bruno Saltor had been named interim-head coach on Sunday and took charge versus Liverpool
Lampard returns for his second stint in charge of the club after he earned Chelsea a fourth place finish in the Premier League in 2019, as he integrated the likes of Mason Mount and Reece James into the team with the club under transfer embargo. His second term in charge of the club did not go as smoothly however as he was dismissed in January 2021 to be replaced by Thomas Tuchel following a run of two wins in eight matches in the Premier League.
The Chelsea legend will be charged with once again regalvanising the team with the west London side sitting in 11th position in the Premier League and a Champions League quarter-final to play in under a week against Real Madrid.

We want to give ourselves every chance of success and Frank has all of the characteristics and qualities we need to drive us to the finish line.
"We have an important game against Wolves on Saturday and then we will turn our attention to our Champions League quarter-final in Madrid next week. We are all going to give Frank our full backing as we aim to get the best possible outcome from all our remaining games."
