Chelsea have agreed a €38million (£33.6million) deal with AS Monaco for centre-back Benoit Badiashile, football.london understands.
The defender will sign a six-and-a-half year deal at Stamford Bridge after agreeing personal terms with Graham Potter's side. football.london understands that Badiashile is currently in London to undergo his medical after personal terms were signed.
The Blues had identified the France international as a key defensive reinforcement following the injury to summer signing Wesley Fofana. Badiashile will become the Blues' second signing of the January transfer window after Todd Boehly spent close to £300m in his first transfer window.
