Arsenal yellow card being investigated by FA over 'suspicious betting patterns'

The Football Association are investigating a yellow card received by an Arsenal player in a Premier League match this season over allegations of suspicious betting patterns.

It is claimed that bookmakers flagged to the FA that an unusual amount of money was placed on a Gunners player to be shown a yellow card during a fixture.

Gambling insiders are said to have described the amount of money placed on the yellow card as 'highly unusual.'
