Brazilian Real Strength Prompts Short Covering in Sugar Futures

March NY world sugar #11 (SBH25) today is up +0.43 (+2.42%), and March London ICE white sugar #5 (SWH25) is up +11.90 (+2.55%).

Sugar prices today are trading higher after a rally in the Brazilian real (^USDBRL) to a 6-week high prompted short-covering in sugar futures.  The stronger real discourages export selling from Brazil's sugar producers.
