Brazil Weather Concerns Push Coffee Prices Sharply Higher

December arabica coffee (KCZ25) today is up +11.05 (+3.032%), and September ICE robusta coffee (RMU25) is up +74 (+1.56%).

Coffee prices today rallied sharply, with arabica coffee posting a 3.5-month high and robusta posting a 3-month high.  Coffee prices today continued their 3-week-long rally on weather concerns in Brazil.  On Monday, Somar Meteorologia reported that Brazil's largest arabica coffee-growing area, Minas Gerais, received no rain during the week ended August 16.  Reports of damage to some of Brazil's coffee crop from last week's frost are also boosting prices.
