Brazil election results are out as polling has closed in Brazilian presidential election, with left-wing incumbent Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva facing Senator Flavio Bolsonaro, the eldest son of former President Jair Bolsonaro, in a closely contested race. As per the latest trends, Flavio Bolsonaro has 48.05 per cent of the vote in Brazil presidential election, Lula 43.96 per cent with 90.14 per cent of ballots counted.
Brazilians voted Sunday in a pivotal presidential election dominated by incumbent Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and his ideological opposite, Sen. Flavio Bolsonaro. Preelection polls suggested both have a chance of winning outright, but if neither gets a majority of the vote, a runoff will be held on October 25.
