Brazil boss Tite making St James' Park appearance as Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton look to impress

Bruno Guimareas and Joelinton will both be given an opportunity to impress Brazil boss Tite this weekend. The Brazil head coach is in town ahead of Newcastle's match against Aston Villa this weekend.

It'll provide the Magpies duo with the opportunity to show they deserve to be a part of the Selecao squad in Qatar. Guimaraes had dinner with Tite at Rio Steakhouse in Jesmond on Friday, and is well acquainted with the head coach of the national team.

However, for Joelinton, this poses the first real opportunity to impress Tite with the World Cup just weeks away. The combative midfielder has been a revelation under Eddie Howe since dropping into a deeper role and has rightly taken the plaudits for his fine performances.

Tite is said to be finalising the final few spots in his 26-man squad. Douglas Luiz and Philippe Coutinho will also be under the watchful eye of the Brazil boss - in the oppositions ranks.

The head coach, along with his son and assistant coach Matheus Bachi will be at work across Europe this coming week, beginning with the Premier League this weekend. They're reportedly scheduled to take in Manchester United v West Ham on Sunday, Liverpool v Napoli in the Champions League next Tuesday and then Juventus v PSG the following night.
