Brazen driver left savage windscreen note to justify parking across 2 spaces

A brazen driver tried to excuse their parking with a savage windscreen note. The car's owner unashamedly left their vehicle parked across two spaces.

However, the driver clearly thought they had done nothing wrong - they left an angry windscreen note in a bid to justify their bold move. Seemingly replying to a previous note, the car owner defended their improper parking to passers-by.

But Reddit users had little sympathy for the driver's reasoning when the exchange was shared online. In the note - posted to the website by an anonymous user - the car owner had a lot to get off their chest.

They wrote: "The reason I park in 2 spaces is because someone hit my car and drove off costing me £500 to get it repaired. So do not leave a note on my window. How would you like it done to you!!!!!"

The writer also underlined "do not" twice, perhaps hoping to offset the five exclamation parks. Evidently amused by the find, the post's author said: "Note on the dash did not disappoint."

They were not the only one to have a similar reaction, reports the Mirror. The exchange delighted some Reddit users - and the post has amassed more than 300 replies debating the matter.

But few appeared to take the driver's side. Instead, commenters were quick to slam their parking - while others mocked the note.

"If it's OK for one, it's OK for all, then the number of spaces is halved... Sure they wouldn't be happy about that," someone suggested. "No, you don't understand, it's only OK if you've been crashed into in the past," another quipped.

A third person commented: "I'd be especially inclined to leave a note. Putting it next to their note so it's obvious I knew…" Offering a suggestion, another person added: "Maybe if you parked better, people wouldn't hit your car."

Someone else said: "Idiot thinks one instance of bad luck now entitles them to two spaces." Elsewhere, another person jibed: "I didn't really understand the note until I read the fifth exclamation mark. Three, even four wouldn't have been clear enough. The fifth one completes it."
