Bravissimo gets set for Newcastle move with new store opening in Eldon Square

Lingerie and swimwear brand Bravissimo is set to open a brand new store inside Eldon Square.

The high street chain, which caters for women with cup sizes D and up, is currently based at Eldon Garden but will be moving to a new unit inside the Newcastle shopping centre in the coming weeks.

Eldon Square bosses have confirmed that work is under way to transform the space into a welcoming new store, with an opening date to be announced soon. However, Bravissimo signage has gone up in front of the new unit, which sits next to the popular Morphe makeup store, saying that the shop will be open in the autumn.

In the meantime, the Eldon Garden store will remain trading. Customers visiting the new Bravissimo store when it launches can expect to find stylish and supportive lingerie in D-L cup sizes and swimwear in a D-K cup range. They can also take advantage of its expert bra fitting service.

Caroline Bartlett, retail and customer director at Bravissimo, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming our Newcastle customers in to see us in our new Eldon Square home this Autumn. It’s a great location and designing the new store has given us a brilliant opportunity to reflect the sense of community and fun Bravissimo is all about.

"We aim to provide a really welcoming space for our customers both old and new to come and feel uplifted and supported and enjoy the choice of 94 sizes and 25 brands we offer. Our friendly fitters will continue to support our Newcastle customers with their expert fitting knowledge in our current store in Eldon Gardens which will remain open until the move.”

The brand which was founded nearly 30 years ago in 1995, says its mission is; "to inspire women with big boobs to feel amazing, to celebrate our figures and to offer a wide choice of beautiful styles to uplift big boobed women in every way." Bravissimo says it employs 700 employees and has 26 shops throughout the UK.

The new Bravissimo will be the latest addition to the shopping centre so far this year. American lingerie brand Victoria's Secret opened last month and other new additions include the new bagel chain, Bagel Factory, and Lebanese restaurant, Bake Eldon.

Bernice Nesham, senior asset manager at Catella APAM for Eldon Square said: "We are delighted to confirm the addition of Bravissimo to St. Andrew’s Way this autumn, a brand that will enhance an already exciting retail mix on this mall. So far this year we have welcomed nine new brands to Eldon Square, with further announcements to be made later this year.”
