A brave Scots dad chased thieves down the street after his "pride and joy" motorbike was stolen by three men wearing balaclavas.
Police are now probing the theft, but neither the three suspects or the bike have been traced. The incident took place around 8pm in Goose Place, Musselburgh.
Ty McDonald, 23, said his motorbike is one of the most important things in his life, and he and partner Hollie are determined to get the vehicle back, he told Edinburgh Live.
He said: "I came to see my partner at her house in Musselburgh, and took my bike over. We went to the shop, came home and sat down - and all of a sudden I heard people outside and then motorbike sounds. I ran downstairs and by the time I got there they were away with it.
"I ran after them for a bit but they got away. There were three of them wearing balaclavas, two on bikes, and they headed towards North High Street. The bike is so important to me. It was my pride and joy.
"Me and my family have adored the bike since I got it when I was 18, and I'm 23 now. For five years I've put so much time and money into the bike. We went out looking for the thieves and the bike today but no luck."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of the theft of a motorbike from a premises on Goose Green Road, Musselburgh, around 8pm on January 30, 2023.
“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 3242 of January 30, 2023.”
